Atelectasis secondary to excessive airway secretions and hemorrhage in intubated patients is common in intensive care units. Because of this, infections may be added, and also treatment of respiratory insufficiency becomes more difficult. In our hospital's intensive care unit, an intubated patient's chest x-ray showed left upper lobe aletelectasis. When bronchoscopy performed, obstruction of the left upper lobe bronchus by coagulum was seen. Coagulum was removed by bronchoscopy with cryoprobe. The procedure took 20 seconds. In intubated patients, the short duration of the procedure is very important. Therefore, we have reported this case to emphasize the importance of using cryo procedure in clearance of endobronchial secretions and obstructions. Yoğun bakımda entübe olarak tedavi gören hastalarda, sekresyonların ve hemorajiye bağlı koagülumların atelektaziye neden olmaları sık görülen bir durumdur. Bu nedenle hem solunum yetmezliğinin tedavisi zorlaşır hem de soruna solunum yolu enfeksiyonları eklenebilir. Yoğun bakımda yatan hastaların fiberobtik bronkoskopiyle endobronşiyal sekresyon ve koagülumlarının temizlenmesi sık uygulanan bir yöntemdir. Hastanemiz yoğun bakım servisinde entübe olarak takip edilen ve akciğer grafisinde sol üst lob atelektazisi geliştiği izlenen hastaya bronkoskopi yapıldığında sol üst lob girişini tıkayan koagülum görüldü. Kriyoterapi yöntemi uygulanarak kriyo probu ile koagülum çıkarıldı. İşlem yaklaşık 20 saniye gibi çok kısa sürede sonlandı. İşlemin kısa sürmesi yoğun bakımda ve entübe durumda olan hastalarda hayati önem taşıyan bir durumdur, bu nedenle kriyo yönteminin endobronşiyal sekresyonların temizlenmesinde kullanılmasının önemini vurgulamak için bu olguyu sunmayı uygun bulduk.
