Specific IgE was measured with chemiluminescent system in 37 patients with atopic asthma and/or rhinitis which were diagnosed on the basis of complaints, physical examination and skin prick tests (SPT). Twenty three patients had positive SPT result against to Der p, 19 patients had to Der f and 15 had to mixed grass pollens. 10 normal subjects were included in the study as control group which were nonatopic according to medical history, physical examination and SPT. Sensitivity, specifity and diagnostic yield were as follows respectively, for Der p sIgE; %79, %100 and %85; for Der f sIgE, % 85, %90 and %86; and for mixed grass pollen sIgE, %80, %90 and %84. Öykü, fizik muayene ve deri prick testleri esas alınarak atopik astma ve/veya rinit tanısı konulan 37 hastada kemiluminesans yöntemi ile spesifik IgE (sIgE) çalışıldı. 23 hastada Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Der p), 19'unda Der farinea (Der f) ve 15 hastada karma ot polenine karşı pozitif deri testi mevcuttu. Öykü, fizik muayene ve prick test ile nonatopik olarak değerlendirilen 10 normal kişi kontrol grubu olarak alındı. Der p için sIgE'nin duyarlılık, özgüllük ve tanı değeri sırasıyla %79, %100 ve %85; Der f için, %85, %90 ve %86; karma ot polenleri için %80, %90 ve %84'dü.
