Asthma management is essential in the control of the disease. Doctor/patient cooperation
as well as patient education constitute the base for asthma management.
Education plays a crucial role for the patient in establishing the cooperation and in
taking an active role in managment. Through the means of the education the
patient familiarizes himself/herself with the risk factors, learns inhalation techniques
and gains self-confidence in asthma management. Personal action plan, providing
self-monitoring/self-managment abilites to the patient, is the center of the
