Progesterone Treatment Experience In A Patient with Lymhangioleiomyomatosis Presenting with Recurrent Pneumothorax

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare interstitial lung disease. Patients with LAM usually present with progressive dyspnea and spontaneous pneumothorax. Although there is no sufficient evidence to support the routine use of any treatment in LAM, progesterone is one of the widely used drugs. This report evaluates the effect of one year progesterone treatment in a patient with LAM presenting with recurrent pneumothorax.
