Foreign body aspirations, most of which are under 3 years of age (60-80%), are mostly encountered in the pediatric population. Inspite of the great progress in the preventive methods, first aid and bronchoscopic techniques, foreign body aspiration can cause serious and fatal results. As the organic substances which cannot be easily diagnosed remains longer in the bronchial tree , different complications may develop as a result of the chronic obstruction and inflammation. Grass inflorescence, is a rare cause of aspiration in the literature. Interesting clinical conditions can be the result of grass inflorescence, which can not easily be removed bronchoscopically, because of its own features. In order to emphesize the subject, we presented four cases who developed bronchiectasis after grass infloresence aspiration. Four bronchiectasis cases because of grass infloresence aspiration have been determined in İzmir, Dr. Suat Seren Thoracic Diseases and Surgery Training and Research Hospital , in 2nd Thoracic Surgery Department between 1988-2002. One of these patients spontaneously expectorated the grass inflorescence and pulmonary resection was performed for the remaining patients. Yabancı cisim aspirasyonları, çoğu (%60-80) üç yaşından küçük olmak üzere, %85 oranında çocuklarda görülen bir antitedir. Korunma yöntemleri, ilk yardım ve bronkoskopi tekniklerindeki gelişmelere rağmen, halen ciddi ve fatal sonuçlar doğurabilmektedir. Tanı güçlüğü olan organik maddelerin, bronşlarda kalış süresi uzadıkça, kronik obstrüksiyon ve enşamasyon sonucunda değişik komplikasyonlar gelişmektedir. Pisi pisi otu (Grass inflorescences) literatürde nadir aspirasyon nedenlerindendir. Kendine özgü özelliklerinden dolayı, bronkoskopik olarak çıkarılması çok güç olan pisi pisi otunun aspirasyonu sonucunda ilginç klinik tablolar ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Konunun önemini vurgulamak amacıyla, bronşektazi gelişen dört olgu sunulmuştur. 1988-2002 yılları arasında, İzmir Dr.Suat Seren Göğüs Hastalıkları ve Cerrahisi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, 2.Göğüs Cerrahisi Kliniği'nde, pisi pisi otu aspirasyonu sonucunda bronşektazi gelişen dört olgu saptanmıştır. Bir olgu pisi pisi otunu ekspektore ederken diğer üç olguya rezeksiyon uygulanmış ve çıkarılan materyalin patolojik tetkiki ile tanı konulmuştur.
